Paws for Kids, the North West Charity designed to support women, children and their pets escape from a life of violence and abuse to a better and caring future.
Paws for Kids is a ground-breaking charity who aim to relieve the pressures on families escaping domestic violence by providing:
A child-centred service to help reduce the long-term effects of witnessing or experiencing domestic violence.
Temporary fostering of pets belonging to these families
Paws for Kids ‘Safe Haven’ project provides:
A unique and specialised support service to women, children and their pets who suffer domestic violence; helping all involved, physically and emotionally, both in the short and long term. Safe Haven provides families who have experienced violence first hand with an opportunity to become part of a meaningful, nurturing programme aiding the development of emotional and relationship skills.
Safe Haven aims to make each child who becomes involved feel special, worthy and validated for who they are.
